RB260GS je mali SOHO switch. Ima pet gigabitnih ethernet portova i jedan SFP slot, ojačan Atheros Switch chipom.
Testiran sa i preporučuje se korištenje sa MikroTik SFP modulima: S-85DLC05D, S-31DLC20D and S-35/53LC20D
SwOS (MikroTik switch operativni sistem) se konfiguriše preko browsera. Dopušta sve osnovne funkcionalnosti upravljivog switch-a pa i više: port-to-port forwarding, apply MAC filter, configure VLANs, mirror traffic, apply bandwidth limitation i čak podešavanje nekih MAC i IP header polja.
